The Neighbourhood Scoop

This up-and-coming neighbourhood is in a prime location between Burlington Bay and the Niagara Escarpment, with Hamilton right next door. Aldershot is easily accessible with multiple nearby highways and has its own GO station. It’s also home to the 2400-acre Royal Botanical Gardens and waterfront community gathering place, Lasalle Park. With its wide tree-lined streets and plenty of green spaces, Aldershot is made up of a mix older detached single-family homes and a growing number of newer homes built from 2011 and beyond, and is attracting young families who are renovating those older homes. Aldershot is bordered by Hamilton Harbour and Highway 403, and the QEW and Spring Gardens Road.

Situated on Burlington’s lakefront in the Aldershot community, LaSalle Park offers a variety of picturesque areas including the waterfront area, trails and open green space. The park is home to the historic pavilion that was rebuilt to its original architectural form in 1997 after a fire completely destroyed it. The park is a great location for a family picnic. Bring your towels and bathing suits as this park offers a wading pool with splash pad that is simply perfect for the little ones to play in. Other features of the park include: two ball diamonds, boat launch ramp, marina, bocci ball court and playground.

Golf Members enjoy an excellent golf experience on our 18 hole par 71 course and facilities that include a full-service pro shop, practice and training facilities, first-class service in our award-winning clubhouse and member patios with scenic views of the bay and finishing holes 17 and 18. Curling has been a fixture at BGCC since 1959. We offer curling for all ages with a wide variety of league choices for men, ladies and juniors, as well as numerous member and non-member bonspiels. In addition, we also have ice time available for non-member rental and offer a corporate ice-logo advertising program.
